Planning poker is a widely employed project management technique in the Agile process but has been anecdotally popular in Vietnam, that is beneficial to optimize planning. The primary benefit of planning poker is to foster greater collaboration and consensus among team members, making the estimate more accurate. The psychology behind this method is its ability to promote minimal conflict during an evaluation process as everyone’s opinion is considered. With frequent application, project teams in Vietnam can better manage performance to enhance productiveness. Therefore, the benefit of planning poker does not only lay in better approximations but also in encouraging cooperative culture and enhancing project quality.
